- 12:45 - 1:45 MT: Blocking and Tackling: How Data Management Can Have Trickle-Down Effects Across Your Organization**
*Session Description: This session is designed to break attendees into small groups so they can share a project or issue where they are feeling stuck and get help making progress. Each person will have a chance to discuss a challenge, hear different perspectives, and leave with practical ideas, next steps, or solutions to unblock them.
The goal is to create a focused, collaborative space where attendees can learn from one another, problem-solve together, and build momentum on difficult work.
**Session Description: This session explores the real-world impact that poor data management can have across key business functions, including accounting, payroll, legal, and tax. We will examine how gaps in data quality, communication, and process oversight can create downstream compliance and reporting challenges, increase administrative burden, and expose organizations to unnecessary risk. Through practical examples, we will discuss common equity compensation issues, including ISO and NQSO reporting, failures to properly report stock compensation income, RSAs, Section 83(b) elections, repricing’s, and the complexities associated with mobile employees. In addition to highlighting common pitfalls, attendees will leave with practical steps they can implement immediately to strengthen data governance, improve cross-functional coordination, reduce errors, and support more effective equity compensation reporting and compliance.
