Speakers: Elizabeth Dodge, Principal & Founder, Equity Plan Solutions, LLC
Geetika Prasad, Director of Stock Administration & Accounting, Tanium Inc.
Session Description:
Are you using Excel efficiently or ineffectively? Are you manually updating call references each time you pull a workbook together? How do you make updates faster and easier? Have you ever spent hours updating a workbook for the current reporting period? How do you streamline that into minutes? Have you ever found an error in a workbook created by you or others? We’ve seen errors that misstated expense by millions! This session will give you an expanded toolkit of handy Excel tricks and tips that will speed up your Excel work for your stock plans and significantly reduce the risk of error.
Some of our topics will include:
- What is the easiest way to convert text dates to real dates? (It’s not Text to Columns!)
- How do you build reusable workbooks for your stock plan projects that take minutes to update each time instead of hours?
- How do I speed up my workbooks without removing my formulas?
- How do I error check without manual work?
- Are you still using VLOOKUP? If so, there is a better way!
- How do I work with CSV data out of payroll without stripping leading zeroes?
- How do I “drop in” a new report without leaving leftover data behind?
- How do you project vesting totals for each month or quarter, with just a few clicks?
