This presentation will explore the complexities of equity plan design and the downstream impacts in a dynamic, debate-style format. Opposing viewpoints will clash on critical aspects of equity design, such as grant types, vesting schedules, performance metrics, and tax implications. Attendees will gain a deep understanding of the trade-offs and considerations involved in crafting effective equity plans, enabling them to make informed decisions for their organizations.

Speakers

Liz Stoudt, Infinite Equity

Liz is a Partner at Infinite Equity. With over 20 years of experience, Liz advises companies on their equity programs, with a particular love for employee stock purchase programs. Liz leverages an actuarial science background and data analytics to help companies make better design and valuation decisions. Liz is a frequent speaker at equity compensation events, is the Eastern Regional Representative of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals (NASPP). Liz formerly served on the Certified Equity Professional Institute’s Advisory Board and was the President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the NASPP. Liz has a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the Pennsylvania State University, is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), and is a Certified Equity Professional (CEP). She is based in Philadelphia.

Michelle Tomasetti, Infinite Equity

Michelle is currently a Partner at Infinite Equity, where she leads the Equity Administration Solutions practice. With over 20 years of expertise in equity compensation, she directs her administration team to provide exemplary, white-glove service to all clients. Prior to joining Infinite Equity, Michelle held influential roles in both financial services and mid-sized biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms. She excelled in implementing and enhancing equity-based compensation plans and their day-to-day administration. Michelle was recently re-elected to the GEO Board of Directors for the 2024-2026 term and is a Certified Equity Professional (CEP) and a Fellow of Global Equity (FGE). She is a recognized speaker at industry events, including the NASPP, GEO, and the CEP Symposium, where she shares her deep knowledge and experiences in equity compensation.
